Delete file from url

I belive that this is a bug, how would I fix it?

Ack, i’ve done this before but am not on desktop at moment. There’s a bit of a weirdness with URLs to files. (I’m not sure if this applies only to files saved in s3, but the “URL” string returned from bubble often (always?) starts with “//“ instead of “https://“.

Check (using a text element), that URL string coming out of bubble. If it is missing the protocol part, just add it as text.

It’s likely that issue.

BTW: no idea if this is a “bug” or a “feature”, but if it’s a feature I’ve not found the use case for it.

What I’m saying is that a file thing’s “URL” is more accurately(ish) a PATH as returned from bubble. But if the delete file operation is expecting a fully qualified URL, your File URL value needs to be:

https:Current Cell’s Image’s URL

Been a while since I have dealt with this particular issue (it crops up in other ways as well), but I’m guessing this is the issue you’re having.

(And yeah, that’s broken AF. I’m sure whoever implemented it this way had a good reason, but they didn’t ask anyone else for review or input, that’s for sure.) #shrug

Thanks for your help, I will try this!
