Hi, I am looking to create a dropdown list from where I can select users related to their specific company to be selected as creators for a task. The related company is also in the ‘user’ table as a field.

Hi there, @ashish.ramdin… if I understand your post correctly, you should be able to do what you described by setting the dropdown’s Choices source to a search for users with a constraint where company = Current User's company. You will also need to make sure your privacy rules on the User data type support what you are trying to do.

Hi @mikeloc , thank for reaching out to me. My point is that I need to select users first. But even that I am not able to do. That is very strange.
Sorry, but I don’t know what that means. You are trying to have a dropdown that has a list of users in it, and the list of users should be users who are in the same company as the current user, no?

Okay… refer to my initial reply and share screenshots of what you tried.
I’m not sure why my initial reply wasn’t clear, but I will say it again… in the choices source, do a search for users with a constraint on the search of company = Current User's company, and check your privacy rules on the User data type to make sure any rules you have in place don’t prohibit the search.
Did you check the privacy rules like I mentioned multiple times now? Do you have the default privacy rule in place on the User data type?
The last privacy rule is getting in the way, and if you click the link in my previous reply, you can read more about that. The bottom line is you need to learn more about privacy rules and how they affect what you are trying to do.
