In my live app I started seeing a problem with display of the value selected in a dropdown element.
The first impression is that the value is not being shown:
But when the element, the dropdown list shows that the value 1 is selected:
On closer inspection, it appears that the down-carat symbol seems to have expanded to the left to cover part of the displayed value:
In the Days/Weeks/Months dropdown, it’s just hiding most of the s in Weeks. In the quantity dropdown, it’s covering the whole value when it’s a single digit, and nearly all of it if it’s two digits.
Nothing has changed in the app from when it displayed correctly until a couple of weeks ago when it broke. I haven’t pushed anything live for a long time and haven’t even worked in dev for several weeks.
Anyone know what’s going on here? Did I miss a memo?
Thanks, Mike.
I just did the upgrade and it fixed the problem. More evidence that I am seriously an amateur at this. I have no idea why a Bubble upgrade that I didn’t apply would break a live app.
Flummoxed!
@laurence - just wanted you to know that you were not alone on this.
We also have a site where we had not yet opted-in to the upgrade, but experienced the same phenomenon as you, with extra space added to the left of the carat that partially cut off the view of text in the dropdown (in our case, of state abbreviations):
I think this may have been an unintended effect of this new feature, even for those who had yet to upgrade. Thanks for sharing your experience - we did the same as you, upgraded to the next Bubble version, and that fixed the issue.
