Are there any tips or tricks to duplicating a ‘Create a new thing’ workflow step and changing it to a ‘Make changes to a thing’ step but keeping all the fields listed?
I feel not having a feature like this hugely increases development time and leaves lots of room for error when trying to replicate fields.
It would probably be my all time favourite feature if we could just duplicate a ‘Create new thing’ workflow step and then change it to a ‘Make changes to a thing’ workflow step but keep all of the fields.
Anyway, if anyone has any tips to speed this process up I am all ears. I have also added it as a feature request on the ideaboard here if anyone else would like to upvote it
Also, have you tried using the Add all fields in the make changes/create (to) a thing ?
This way you could all fields and remove the ones you don’t need and just paste expressions from other steps.
Hope this helps.
Unfortunately the ‘replace by another type’ clears the list when you replace create a new thing with make changes to a thing.
I use the ‘add all fields’ button but when you are adding lots of fields it still takes a long time unfortunately, especially if you are making a one page app and there are lots of fields on one page to search for.
