I’ve built a Chrome extension to simplify creating and applying app texts for translations in Bubble.
Currently, once an app is built in the default language, app texts need to be created manually and each static text element has to be replaced with the correct app text expression. While this works, it’s time-consuming and pulls focus away from actual building.
What the extension does is, scan a page, and creates app texts based on the existing static text, and then replaces those texts on the page with the appropriate app text expressions. Once done, you can export the app texts as a CSV and translate them as usual (via a translator or tools like Google Translate) before importing them back into Bubble.
As an optional paid feature, I’ve also built a simple translation management service (TMS) that lets you import and manage translations externally. The extension can then fetch those translations and apply them back into your app automatically.
What would normally take hours of repetitive work can be done much faster since you no longer need to create and replace app texts one by one.
