Easy app text management - Chrome extension + tool

Hi all,

I’ve built a Chrome extension to simplify creating and applying app texts for translations in Bubble.

Currently, once an app is built in the default language, app texts need to be created manually and each static text element has to be replaced with the correct app text expression. While this works, it’s time-consuming and pulls focus away from actual building.

What the extension does is, scan a page, and creates app texts based on the existing static text, and then replaces those texts on the page with the appropriate app text expressions. Once done, you can export the app texts as a CSV and translate them as usual (via a translator or tools like Google Translate) before importing them back into Bubble.

As an optional paid feature, I’ve also built a simple translation management service (TMS) that lets you import and manage translations externally. The extension can then fetch those translations and apply them back into your app automatically.

What would normally take hours of repetitive work can be done much faster since you no longer need to create and replace app texts one by one.

The extension is currently in private beta. If you’re interested in trying it out, let me know and I can add you. I’ll also provide access to the translation management app for up to 25,000 characters. I’m mainly looking for feedback to improve it before a public release.

The extension is now public to use by all.

The portal is still access only, so dm me if you want access. This portal helps you manage translations easily and export it back to your app via the extension.

@mmahirf you are a Bubble GOD!!! I cannot tell you how thankful I am to you for creating this tool. Sincerely it has saved me literal days of work I would have spent localizing my app. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!

Also the color management feature (not pictured above) is super helpful as well!!!

I was lazy and did not update on the forum that it had new features.. Will get to it soon as I can as I am working on other bits as well.

I wish I’d had this tool a long time ago. Great work. Just so you know, I’m now using BuildPrint.ai AI to make all these corrections.

Yeah have heard great things about it. It’s a complete solution as it probably gives you the translated strings as well.

Though if you are privacy first, the extension is a great alternative!

I love buildprint. However, this is deterministic and works much faster. I prefer to save my ai token usage for other things.
