Filter repeating group date (told not possible?)

  1. My users can create events with an ‘event_date’.
  2. They can view their active and expired events within their dashboard.
  3. I’ve added the word ‘Active’ when an event date is ‘> current date/time’ and the word ‘Expired’ when an event date is '< current date/time

I have a dropdown with the following two static choices:

  • Active events
  • Expired events

What I want to achieve

User clicks the drop down and chooses Active events then they should only see the active events. User clicks the drop down and chooses Expired events then they should only see the expired events.

This may seem easy, but after 2 days trying I gave up. I paid someone on Fiverr to do it and he said he was an expert, he said Bubble have changed the way filtering works and this is not possible. I have also not found any other solutions for this on this forum.

I’d like to know if this is in fact possible?

On your events, along with title and date, do you save the status?

Can you share your dB model for events?

Already working through this in another thread… not sure why this thread was necessary.

Sorry for reposting this guys, I just wanted to reword it as the original thread seemed complicated. I will wait and if this is resolved I will remove one of the posts and leave the solution.
