Google Maps - API type and pricing (cost)

Hey all

Building an AirBnB style-app and is heavily dependent on location-search and displaying results on a map. Before I get too deep into building my solution with Google Maps, I would like to get somewhat of an overview of the cost of using it so I can build my business case (haven’t yet moved to my own domain so haven’t set up the Google integration).

So question: Based on my usage in Bubble, what are the prices from Google I should look at? Also, can someone elaborate a bit on the functionality behind the scenes. When is each of the different APIs activated (in general or in my specific usage of input and map)?

WHAT I AM USING IN MY BUBBLE APP

  • Input form: Input (with content format being ‘Address’); this one auto-completes what user is typing with addresses from Google (default from ‘Address’)
  • Visual element: Map (which shows one or more pins)

WHAT I CAN READ IN BUBBLE MANUAL
According to the manual, I have to ‘enable’ the following:

  • Geocoding API
  • Places API
  • Geolocation API
  • Maps JavaScript API

PRICES FROM GOOGLE

  • Geocoding API: 5 USD per 1000 requests
  • Places API: Not sure which one this is? Nothing just called ‘Places’
  • Maps Javascript API: 7 USD per 1000 requests
  • Geolocation API: 5 USD per 1000 requests

Thanks a lot in advance to anyone who can shed a bit of light on this!

Best
Maja
