Google Tag Manager and Analytics newbie questions

Hello!

Here’s my setup:

WordPress website at root domain, e.g. website.com:

  • sales/landing page with a button to sign up

Bubble app at app.website.com:

  • sign up page
  • thank you page

I’m trying to install GTM/GA/Meta Pixel, but not sure if it’s done properly.

  1. Should I install 1 or 2 GTM containers?
  2. Should I install 1 or 2 GA properties?
  3. Any recommended resource for me to understand quickly? I wanted to hire someone from Fiverr but not sure if it would be done correctly and I might not know what’s going on.

Thanks!!

In your apps seo/metatags settings you can paste the header script for GTM/GA.

You can also use their plugins but they seem a bit buggy to me sometimes.

If you want to track clicks on your page I recommend looking into mixpanel

Hi there!

Regarding your setup, since both your WordPress website and Bubble app are under the same domain (website.com), it’s generally recommended to use one GTM container and one GA property to track data across both platforms. This approach ensures consistency and simplifies management.

When considering hiring someone from Fiverr or any freelancing platform, it’s essential to communicate your requirements clearly and ensure they have experience in setting up GTM and GA for WordPress and Bubble apps. To gauge their expertise, request examples of past work or client testimonials.

On a related note, I wanted to share my portfolio project done on Google Analytics with you. You can find it on my Upwork profile here: Portfolio Project on Google Analytics . Feel free to explore it and reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance.
