Groupfocus doesn't close when click into an input

Put an input element on your page. Add a group focus element. Add a button, make this button the reference element to for the groupfocus. Add workflow to toggle groupfocus element when button is clicked.

Open the groupfocus element with button click, then click into the input element. Does the groupfocus element remain open? If so, that is a bug, correct?

Open groupfocus element, click anywhere else on the page other than the input and see the groupfocus element close as it should.

Shouldn’t a groupfocus element close if we click into an input just like it does when we click on any other element on the page?

I imagine this is a Bug that should be resolved as there is no workaround possible because we can not trigger an action when an input is focused or clicked in order to close the groupfocus.

It’s working as expected for me (i.e. the groupFocus closes when clicking into the input, just the same as clicking anywhere else on the page).

So must be a bug.

The Group Focus hides for me too. Maybe its a bug.

I just submitted a bug report. Video with URL in view with safe mode and no html or plugins…hopefully I get a fix

Got the response from Bubble support on August 23

I apologize for the delayed response as our team has been working through an influx of tickets.

I was able to reproduce the behavior with the GroupFocus element and have escalated this to the engineering team for their assessment.

This behavior looks to only reproduce when an Input is using the following types of format: Integer (show thousands separator), Decimal, US Phone, Percentage, Currency, Date, Euro data or Text (numbers only)

We will be in touch to keep you posted with any updates we receive. Thank you for your patience!

On August 29 got the response it was fixed, and it is now.

Thank you for your patience! I received an update that the Engineering team has pushed a fix for this behavior with the GroupFocus element and it is now closing as expected when focusing on an Input of all formats.

Please test this within your own app and let us know if you’re still noticing any unexpected results!
