Help Needed: Building a Women-Only Ride-Sharing App MVP on Bubble

Hello Bubble Community!

I’m currently working on an MVP for a women-only ride-sharing app using Bubble and would love some guidance from the community. The app focuses on providing a safe and seamless ride-sharing experience exclusively for women, including both users and drivers. Here’s a quick overview of the features we aim to include in the MVP:

User Side:

  • OTP-based login and registration.
  • Direct pre-booking via WhatsApp Bot (Google Maps integration for start/drop locations).
  • Upcoming/Pending rides section.
  • Ride details page with driver information, chat/call options, SOS, and “Share your ride” features.
  • Payment via cash or driver’s QR code.
  • Profile section with basic info, safety tips, and emergency contact setup.

Driver Side:

  • OTP-based login and registration (with KYC verification).
  • Viewing ride requests and accepting/rejecting them.
  • Upcoming rides with user details and chat/call options.
  • Start/Finish ride workflow with fare details.
  • Settings and legal info pages.

Admin Panel:

  • Ride scheduling and manual fare assignment.
  • Dashboard for managing users, drivers, and rides.
  • Notifications for ride status updates (e.g., driver assigned, ride canceled).

Challenges/Help Needed:

  1. Implementing OTP-based login and registration for both users and drivers.
  2. Integrating Google Maps for route and location sharing.
  3. Setting up workflows for driver-user interactions, such as ride updates, OTP sharing, and communication.
  4. Configuring payment workflows, including manual fare assignment by admin and cash/QR payments.
  5. Defining database structures and workflows for edge cases (e.g., ride cancellation or no-show scenarios).

If you have experience building ride-sharing or booking-related apps on Bubble, I’d really appreciate any tips, suggestions, or best practices! Additionally, if you have insights on plugins or templates that can help streamline the development process, please share.

Hey @productshedrives

Check out the template page and look for Ride Share, there are a few that show up. Just as with any template, it doesn’t mean that it was built well, but maybe at least it is a foundation or an example that you can look at while you build your own. Sometimes you can see how they solve the major structure or workflows and get an idea on how to do your own.

Hope that helps.
