Hide element when any other element is clicked

Hello! I am currently developing a app that will have a hamburger type menu (not the food )

I am trying to make is so when it is opened, people have the option of closing it either from a close button, or just clicking on the outside of the menu. I know how to make it close with a button, but I was wondering if it is possible to get it to close if any other element is clicked on the page (without setting up a million workflows)
