How to add a reusable element to a repeating group?

I’m not sure if I just don’t know how to do it correctly but I searched the whole forum and couldn’t find anything - when I want to add a reusable element (that is a pop-up) to a repeating group it’s simply just not working.
I cannot add the element to the group although the source for this reusable element is already the same as the repeating group.

Like I want to have ‘add_note_detail’ within Logging detailed view:

Here is a video of me trying to drag the element into the repeating group, but it’s just not possible.

So how do I do that?

Hi @josefin you can’t put popup inside a group/RG as popup sits on page level. You could add an element inside RG that triggers the popup.

Hey @alan.thomas111997 ,
thanks for the quick resonse.

I have an icon in my repeating group that opens this pop up, when clicking on it.
But what I need is to have as source for this reusable icon ‘current cells …’.
Like when I add the pop up on page level I want the ‘data source’ to be from the selected row.

Is there a way to ‘send’ this data somehow?

Because when I add the workflow to show this popup, there is no way to connect the popup with the current cells data:

Okay, I found myself a little workaround.

I changed the type of the reusable element to ‘Group’ - than I was able to add it to the Repeating Group & to assign ‘Current Cells’ data.
Afterwards I edited the reusable element and switched the type back to ‘Pop Up’, so the datasource was kept the same.
So what I wanted to achieve was working now, thank you very much for your input!

Kind regards,
Josi
