How to store checkbox status in database?

I can’t seem to find this answer in forum:

How can I store the value of my checkbox in the database field for it? The field is yes/no, and I’m just not sure how I can make this work (an example would be so helpful)

As I understand it you’re looking to capture “yes or no” in the database. See some steps below:

then previewed the app and tested pressing the Submit button twice unchecked and *twice checked
