Input "is not empty" check doesn't work

I’m trying to enable search on my page and I have an input and a repeating group. My repeating group will update the data source based upon what is in the input field. For some reason even when I type something into it, my input field is evaluating to empty all the time.

Any ideas why? I’ve attached a screenshot where I show the text in the input field but the inspector shows it as empty.

UPDATE: I realized this only happens when I set the ID attribute with Fuzzy search. When I don’t set it, it’s fine.

Sounds like you are using the Fuzzy search plugin. If you are then you should be posting in the plugin’s forum post.
