Integrating seperate pages created in Bubble.io to a React app

Hi all,

I have a beta application that was created with React and Node.js - www.storyprism.io The design was made in Figma.

The application includes 6 tools and currently, only 2 of them have been built. The rest still need development. Initially, I hired a contracted full stack developer to help me build this as a beta, however, I cannot afford to continue paying him. I do have about 400 users and some of them are paying. They are very eager to use the rest of the tools that I planned to develop. I’m in the process of pitching to investors to try and raise money but in the meantime, I want to get this application fully developed so I can validate the market better.

I was reading up on some developers using Bubble.io with React applications and I was wondering if it was possible to create the rest of the front end/backend of the application in Bubble.io and integrate that with the existing application?

I think I can basically have 2 sites. What is developed now will exist as is and the remaining tools I need to be developed will exist as separate Bubble applications that will link to the main site. I.e. www.storyprism.io/newtool - this will link to a Bubble application.

Is this a bad idea or would it not be advisable to do this? Are there any complications with this that will potentially screw me up?

Hey @jon.pfirman !

It’s a great product you have there! I think I may subscribe in the week to test it!
Are you using openAi?

And for your question.

The thing is you need to manage to have all your users in one database to make things easier.

The problem is your users and new users will remain in your current database, so you need to connect it to Bubble through an API call.

I think it will bring after just another level of complexity for making changes or adding new things to your platform at the end.

Honestly I think it will be easier to have everything in Bubble.

Probably it would be a radical choice but if you have a Figma File with well detailed screens, you can do it really fast in Bubble.

You can import Figma files into Bubble, and even if the import it’s not perfect, it gives a huge advantage.

I will register in your platform tomorrow and I can tell you more precise how much time it could take.

I work as a freelancer and I’m based in Paris. If you are courious to know how much time it can take, we can set up a call to discuss it.

Even if after talking you still prefer to find another alternative, I will take a better look at what you are using for your database and advise you some solutions!

This is my website and don’t hesitate to contact me through it

Ah, that makes sense. There was a lot of time and money invested into getting this built so I’d rather not have to restart from scratch. Love to get your thoughts on it - I will reach out. Thanks!
