Yeah the idea behind Main is that it is your staging or pre-production branch and is essentially a copy of Live so you always have a clean place to start new feature work.

Exactly what I was looking for. Need to understand the best practice based on new design.

A flow that seems to work well is to create a feature branch, make changes, create a QA branch off of Main, merge that feature branch into the QA branch and test, and then merge QA into Main when it is ready to be deployed.
