Hey Kim,
It’s come to my attention that TheirLabel, due to it’s reliance on third party cookies for iframed authentication, will progressively fail for more and more users as Google disables cookies throughout this year.
As has always been a disclosed limitation of this plugin, iframing is the principle way we whitelabel a Bubble app. As such, updating TheirLabel to continue working after Google’s cookie phase out would require a total rethink and rebuild of the solution. Since this is not an undertaking we’re in a position to pursue, principally because there are solutions available in the form of coalias.com (which we haven’t used but have heard good reviews for), we will be retiring TheirLabel from the plugin store.
I know this is not the news you would have preferred to hear, but announcing this now will give TheirLabel users time to switch solutions before Google completes their phase out of 3rd party cookies. Existing plugin users will be able to continue using TheirLabel but may experience issues as the phase out progresses. As a result, I’m also working with Bubble to notify all TheirLabel users of this notice of plugin deprecation (since we are not provided a list of our customer’s contact information and rely on Bubble for outreach in these circumstances).
As this moment shows, the internet is a constantly changing substrate. We’ll do the best we can to help our customers make the transition they need.
