After some early prototypes to understand more bubble design, I’m proud to announce the beta launch of jobcamp.co !
The main idea behind jobcamp is to offer a platform where job seekers can organize, design and get feedback about their job applications (Resume / Cover Letter / Interviews questions - the latter is coming soon), all in the same place.
Prepare your job applications - The platform is using text analysis to identify main keywords about job descriptions in order to craft/refine an adapted resume or cover letter. It’s also returning the last news about the company for the same intent.
Organize your search - Also using text analysis, Jobcamp mines your different resume/jobs you have applied to get the optimal keywords you can use to search for new job postings.
You’re not alone - The social aspect of Jobcamp is quite original and challenging. The main big question behind this is “How might we support job seekers to help/coach each other in their job search journeys ?”
You can ask for a review to the community or to your ‘camp’ - i.e. a smaller group composed by people that share some of your job profile. You can/have also to review the job material of others members.
Later on, you can also create a private ‘camp’ with some friends/contacts to search for job ‘together’…
I would like to thanks here the community, I learned so much for all the discussions on this forum! And, also a high five to Bubble team, this tool is amazing for someone like me as a UX researcher to explore further my ideas!
Please, any bug reports/advices/feedbacks/critics/questions are super welcomed!
Hey @Faiz, thanks for your words. Happy to hear that. The idea came from one of my own job search some months ago. And after having talked with different job seekers, it became clear that there is something to do here…The big question is then under which conditions are we motivated to collaborate with others to land a job?
Did you still have a blog/site? I see that jobbuddy is down (it’s funny, that’s a website name I had in mind…)
Thanks! There is a mobile version too!
But you’re right I did not really take the time to make the landing page responsive…which is the most important maybe (!)
Good point, I’m still thinking about the potential business model behind that too: employer-based, premium or marketplace…I’d love to get more of your hindsights about jobbuddy when you have time, your path looks close to mine!
Little heart attack when opening the page for the first time and seeing the design made by the company we hired to create our custom designs (but in the same style).
@mattmazzega Is your site still working?
When I open it I see this message:
Oops! You’ve pointed jobcamp.co to Bubble, but we don’t have an application associated with this domain yet!
