Hi!
I’m using the Rich Text Editor plugin by Bubble and I was just wondering if there is a way to set it up so that a user cannot delete the initial content that I have added to the rich text editor?
Thanks in advance!

@max.lindgren Hey max, I’d set this condition to the input.
Let me know if it’s what you were looking for or need more help
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to help me =)
I’m not sure if I did it correctly, but that did not solve it. I also think I should’ve been more precise in my description of what I want to achieve.
What I’m trying to make happen is that when a user X replies to a comment by another user Y, the content of user Y’s comment should be visible in the rich text input and not be removable in the rich text input for user X. I’ve included a picture of how I mean:
Thank you in advance!
I don’t think you can do that. Is adding that initial content to the typed text in the workflow while saving it to the db a bad idea?
Thank you for the reply
I’m fairly new to all of this, so I have no idea… Why is that a bad idea?
I was thinking you already explored that idea . If not, that’s your best bet.
Ah, I see It works fine as it is now, but the user still has the possibility to delete that text in the input - which is what I wanted to prevent.
Then just add whatever you want to the text user types while saving it to the db in workflows. You don’t need to worry about user deleting anything.
Yes, thank you!
One way to do this is to Add your "initial content’ before the dynamic text inside the Workflow. This way even when user deletes is the text will be there.
If this is not acceptable you could make Placeholder text black?! …
One more option is to create a custom Rich Text Editor view. Before I say it are you sure you need it to be a rich text editor? Can it be just a text input?
Thank you for your reply!
You mean like adding it in a text box?
What is a custom rich text editor view? What does that accomplish?
Yes, I’d very much like to use a rich text editor.
Thank you in advance!
