Hello @nonono,
Hope this message finds you well.
We are writing to inform you about a new versionââ1.152.0ââfor the Mapbox Maps plugin, where we have improved multiple features, including the Drawing UI. Specifically, we have addressed the error message that appeared when you drew a line on the map, which you reported earlier.
Could you please update the plugin on your end, test it out, and let us know if everything is working fine on your side?
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Iâm building a mobile game using the mapbox plugin with Bubble.
When users connect we get their location in the native way but when users get to the mapbox map they need to authorize again the location sharing from the web window.
Would it be possible to pass the authorization from the native mobile to the web component of the map so we donât ask twice for location permission?
This is quite urgent.
Thank you,
Hello @haddad.anthony26,
Thank you for your message, and apologies for the late reply over the weekend.
We ahve replied to you over email, and will write here as well, please feel free too continue our discussed where it is more confortable for you.
It appears that you are using a Natively wrapper. While its native action requests location permission for the app itself, Mapbox maps plugin require permission from the browser. This is because Bubbleâs native apps are essentially browser apps rather than true native-built apps.
For your use case, you might consider reaching out to Natively support to see if itâs possible for that action to request permission for both the app and the browser simultaneously. This way, you wonât have to request permission a second time with Mapbox, as Bubbleâs plugins are designed for web apps only.
Thank you for your understanding. Please let me know if everything is clear or if you have any other questions.
Best regards,

I am switch from Google maps to Mapbox and happy with that. In code I worked a lot with Mapbox (Reac-map-gl), so obvious choice form me.
Need one feature: letâs say, I have group of markers. What if I want to show selected one with different icon? Possible?
Cheers!
Hi @Calibra20,
Thank you for reaching out and apologies for the delayed response over the weekend!
Yes, absolutely! You can set a dynamic icon image for the marker icon and specify conditions for when it should be displayed. This will allow you to customize the icon for selected markers to make them stand out as needed.
For more details on setting this up, hereâs the documentation for reference.
Looking forward to your reply!

Hello Bubble community
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
Weâre excited to announce a new feature in the Mapbox Maps plugin designed specifically for U.S.-based projects. You can now display and interact with ZIP code areas directly on your map!
To get started, simply use the new âCreate US ZIP code areaâ action and input one or multiple ZIP codes in the dedicated fields.
Once added, the plugin will neatly draw the ZIP code shapes on your map. Plus, weâve included event and states that let you further customize your interaction.
You can give it a try on our demo page: https://zeroqode-demo-08.bubbleapps.io/mapbox_maps
As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Weâre here to ensure everything runs smoothly for you.
Ensure youâre using the latest version (1.159.0), which disables the âMap is clickedâ event when interacting with other map layers.
Thanks again, and we wish you a wonderful holiday season!
Here are some important info weâd like to share with you.
When generating your Mapbox access token, itâs important to add URL restrictions for enhanced security.
Hereâs why:
Restricting your token ensures it works only for requests originating from specific URLs you specify.
Without restrictions, your token is public and will work from any URL, which could pose a security risk.
Check the documentation for a visual guide on how to set up URL restrictions effectively: https://docs.zeroqode.com/plugins/mapbox-maps-plugin
Always restrict your tokens to avoid unauthorized usage and keep your projects secure.
Happy mapping and Have a Great upcoming New Year!

Iâve successfully used the Mapbox plugin, and it works perfectly. However, when I wrap the app using Natively BDK, the map fails to load. Can you help me find a solution?
Hi @yash.modi,
Thanks a lot for reaching out to us!
Our plugin for Bubble is built for the web first, so all the functionality has been based on how it should work in browsers. Unfortunately, due to different changes and libraries wrapping an application, we canât guarantee that our plugins will work in a wrapped environment.
Regrettably, we canât provide assistance with this matter. However, if this issue is also happening on web browsers, please provide us with more details about whatâs happening and what youâre doing to recreate it!
Best regards
