I found out that the issue is coming from the URL, not at all because the plugin. In fact, I uploaded some audio files on the Development side, and every URL contains :
…/version-test/…
which prevent the player to play correctly (not only the plugin : these URLs don’t work in any browser).
I tried with some //s3.amazonaws… links, and everything is allright now.
The only issue I got now is that have to manually change some links, as said above, to test my pagination.
But that’s absolutely not the plugin’s fault, and I’m really happy to get this “mobile-looking”.
Thanks for the kind words @contactcerso I’m not planning on adding new features for the time being, but if you’d be interested in sponsoring this feature, feel free to send me a dm.
Hey Michelduprez. Glad you’re enjoying the plugin I don’t plan on adding any new features for the time being except on a sponsorship basis. I appreciate the kind words.
Hi Jacob, is it possible to trigger a workflow at a certain time of the audio currently playing? It seems that current time value is a text type? Thank you, Dev
Interesting idea. I don’t think you can do this at the moment. I don’t plan on adding any new features to the plugin for the time being, but if this functionality is essential for your app and if you’d be interested in sponsoring the feature, send a pm and we can chat
Hi Jacob. I’m having problems with the player working on chrome on the original pixel (android). Any thoughts on why this might be the case? It’s working on most other devices.
Hey Jacob, this is a great plugin because of how simple it is!
Not sure if it’s just me, but I spotted 2 bugs if you don’t mind looking into.
The slider seeker doesn’t work on Mobile Chrome (im on Android), the audio still plays fine, it just doesn’t jump to the part I’m seeking. Desktop works perfectly.
The “Audio is playing” state is slightly delayed, audio plays instantly but the state doesn’t update instantly.
If these two gets update, I’ll be forever grateful! Looking forward to it
Thanks for the kind words. I’ll aim to take a look at #1 this weekend. In the meantime, I just pushed a quick update for #2. Let me know if that fixes it. I believe the issue was just with the “play” action.
Thanks for looking into it! #2
“Audio is playing = No” is instantly updated as audio is paused, great!
“Audio is playing = Yes” still has a ~1 sec delay even though the audio has already started playing.
Let me know if you’d like me to recreate the issue and share an example link to help with #1 or #2
@LWeiLi
I missed one more spot in the code where this was happening. Just pushed an update. Should be fixed now. If it still isn’t working for you, please do send a loom to help me better understand what’s going on.
Hey @jacobgershkovich! Love this plugin so much! Also experiencing the issue LWeiLi mentioned above where on mobile I can’t “scrub” to seek. When I drag the circle to a new point on the timeline, the audio doesn’t jump there, and the circle jumps back to where it was before. Would love to know if this can be fixed. Building a mobile app and won’t be able to use the plugin if users can’t scrub through!
Here’s a loom on the 1sec delay with “Audio is playing = Yes”
The flash of green is my click, as mentioned, the audio starts immediately but the state updates with a delay. Loom video
You upgraded to the latest version? Is it possible that your workflows are set up in a way that might be causing a delay?
@jamesonrunnels Glad you’re enjoying the plugin and sorry about the issue you’re facing. I’ve scheduled some time later this evening to try to dive deeper into this to see what’s going on. Will update here later.
Hey @jacobgershkovich - Just checking in to see if you might have been able to figure out why audio scrubbing wasn’t working on mobile. We’re about ready to go to production, and I’d love to be able to use this plugin. Thanks!
Hey @jamesonrunnels My apologies for the late reply. I just pushed a new update. Seems to be working on my end on mobile now. Let me know if it’s working for you once you update to the latest version.
