Hey Bubblers! I Built SCREENLIFE – A Fun & Eye-Opening App About Your Digital Life
I was inspired by this post about building 8 apps in 30 days, so I decided to build something fun in a day.
Today, I Present: SCREENLIFE
Ever wondered how much of your life you’ve spent looking at screens?
Try It Now:
Screen Life
From Sitcomss in the ‘90s , to your first smartphone , to infinite scrolling today , SCREENLIFE calculates and visualizes your screen time in a way that might shock you.
What you’ll see:
-
How many YEARS you’ve spent on screens
-
What % of your life has been spent online

Great idea! The app illustration completely resonates with the concept.
I just tried the app, and after entering my birth year, I’m wondering—how is it calculating the time I’ve spent on screen without collecting any additional data from me? for me It’s showing 14 years (which I highly doubt I’ve spent more than that😂)
It could ask a few more questions in a two-step form, such as:
- How much time do I usually spend daily on apps
- What are the apps I use most frequently on a daily basis
Based on that, you could run a more accurate calculation and show it to the user.
Anyway, great job—keep at it!

The math is based on the average screen time estimates per age group based on research.
Did you know most adults currently have around 7 hours of screen time per day in the US? Crazy but those hours add up! Especially when you consider we sleep for about 8 hours a day (or should)
But yes I like the idea too! The ability to change it and still see your own personal stats.
