Perform a "Find & Replace" operation on element names in the Bubble Editor, excluding the database

I’m currently working on a project and I have a significant number of items in my Bubble editor that I need to rename. I’m aware of the manual process of renaming each item one by one, but considering the size of my project, this could be quite time consuming.

I’ve read through Bubble’s documentation and explored various options within the editor, but I couldn’t find any direct information about performing a “Find & Replace” operation specifically for element names. I want to emphasize that I’m not referring to making changes within the database, but rather I’m looking for a way to globally replace element names within the Bubble editor itself.

Is there a built-in feature or workaround that would allow me to perform a “Find & Replace” operation on item names within the Bubble editor? This would greatly speed up my workflow and help maintain consistency throughout my project. Any insight or guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi there, @gabriel.guerin… as I’m guessing you know by now (or were at least anticipating), there is no way to change element names via a find and replace.

Best…
Mike

Hey @mikeloc, thanks for your quick reply. Do you know if the Bubble team is thinking about implementing such a feature in the near future or not? That would be pretty handy when it comes to organization within the visual editor.

I’d be willing to bet that it is not on their radar/roadmap, but it couldn’t hurt to add it to the ideaboard if you’d like.

@mikeloc, I just did! :slightly_smiling_face:
