Placeholder images flash before data computes (mobile)

Hello,

I’m building in bubble mobile and I noticed that when I create placeholders in the app for cases when say user data is 0. The placeholder screen always flashes briefly before the actual data-filled screen shows. Like it is definitely cycling through logic. The placeholders are not set to default, i.e. they are not set to show on page load so its clearly a processing thing.

My database is in Supabase, but this happened even before we transitioned the data off of bubble and we are not sure how to stop it from doing that. Any tips would be super helpful!

Another option: use the search’s loading state (or a custom state set when the search finishes) to hide the placeholder until the data has actually come back, then show it only if the count is 0. It also avoids the empty-state flash when switching tabs on mobile.
