Hi, I am setting up privacy rule for the first time and noticed i am only limited to this two options
This [Data type}
Current User
I want to be able to do things like “Do a search for” as part of the logic on this privacy rule.
P.S: What i am searching for is not related to the data type in which i am setting the privacy rule on. Simple search to know if that other statement is true, then all access to this data type
There is no way to perform a “Do a search for” in privacy rules, however, if you share more info, we might be able to help you correctly set your privacy rule
My app is built for companies, and each company has staffs and these staffs are grouped in departments. I have a data type called permissions that is connected to the department data type.
The logic i want is to give access to who has permissions in that department.
1 - Can I assume that you have a field called “StaffList” in your “Department” table and that the permissions in your “Permissions” table is an “Option Set” where you define what level of permissions given for this department. If not, please explain otherwise.
2 - On which data type would like to add your privacy rule ?
Yes i have a List called Staff List. This has field called Company to indicate who that staff works for.
I chose not to use option set for the permission because, i need companies to be able to manage this them selves.
There are several data types like, Company Finaces, Customers, etc
Hi, i am not actually a beginner with Bubble. But on privacy Rules, i am. I just cant seem to understand why Do a Search is not an option on Privacy Rules. Can someone please explain why
