We are imminently fixing a security bug found in our privacy system. This was an issue in custom data type privacy settings, specifically for the “Everyone else (default permissions)” role(s). If, for this role, “Allow auto-binding” was selected, all fields for the data type would allow auto-binding. The intended functionality is that only the selected fields of the data type allow auto-binding. This will soon be fixed to work as intended. Unfortunately, this change may cause issues in some of your apps. If you’re experiencing permissions issues in the next few days, we’d recommend taking a closer look at your privacy roles. Please feel free to file a bug report or contact us if this results in issues you can’t resolve.
