Pro Request: Unlock "Incompatible Type" in Elements Dropdown

In the image above, ASD Patch - Dropdown Company is of type Company.
However, I need the spaceID to be a text. The kicker is the text I am trying to give to spaceID just so happens to be a text that I get FROM the Company in that dropdown… See below what this should look like (which works, btw, if you copy and paste from another field elsewhere…)

Bubble, do not disallow us from choosing elements in the dropdown due to “Incompatible Type” (In Screenshot 1, note how ASD Patch - Dropdown Company is unclickable!). We may be using that “incompatible type” to GET to the right type. At the moment, this is an unnecessary workaround.

I have this issue a lot in dev too.

Very frustrating as I sit there and try to access the type I know exists and then do the standard “why isn’t it there” checks and then remember I need to workaround because bubble added logic to limit me from selecting incompatible types.

One of those “bubble making my life harder by trying to make it easier” features.
