I’m facing the same issue. The pages in my app that have the most user interaction (ambiente_venda and painel_administrativo) — and therefore a larger number of workflows — no longer load in the editor. They just freeze indefinitely, and the browser shows the message “Page not responding.”
It’s becoming extremely difficult to work like this on Bubble.
Is it a day that ends with y? Then I’m experiencing problems with the bubble editor.
But yes, I’ve been seeing wonky behavior. It’s slower than normal (not even sure how that’s possible) and newly created workflows, actions, and folders aren’t appearing until I refresh the page.
Subject: Concern Regarding Bubble’s Platform Reliability and Transparency
Dear Bubble team,
This message comes from a paying customer who invests thousands of dollars each month in an application built and hosted on your platform.
As a service provider, Bubble’s primary responsibility is to deliver a reliable, transparent service. Today, your platform has been experiencing significant performance issues for hours — right when we are trying to manage critical situations with our own clients.
What is most frustrating is not just the downtime, but the complete lack of transparency. Despite multiple requests over time, you have once again failed to update your status page, leaving us with no way to communicate clearly with our clients or explain that the issue lies with Bubble, not with us.
If Bubble cannot provide the quality and responsiveness we depend on, then please give us options to self-host or to move our applications to a more reliable environment. The quality of your service should not reflect the quality we aim to deliver as app owners to our own customers.
We expect and deserve better — and urge you to address this matter with the seriousness it demands.
A lot of my customer’s apps that usually work regularly have not loaded for hours. I have no words to express the frustration I feel right now. More and more disappointed in Bubble. I hope a solution is coming.
I’ve been asking for a desktop editor for years! We need a better editor experience, it’s the biggest limitation to seasoned veterans who feel held back not by their development speed/skills but the framework they’re building on.
Does anyone here have any other ideas for how Bubble could change the editor to reduce latency?
Alright it’s really bad rn for me. Like no workflows are loading, constantly the whole page becomes unclickable/frozen, and I have to refresh to see changes that I make on workflows. My internet is 200mb download 60 up.
Thanks for bringing this up. I have found this over the past 2 weeks i reckon but it’s particularly bad now and getting worse by the day. I thought it was me and my linux setup, but since it got so bad I started looking into it, glad I am not alone.
Problems I have been having:
Editor runs to a standstill. Breaks all tabs where that editor is open.
Generally slow and laggy. This has lead to clicks and drags happening that are not accurate and then breaking UI as it drags a element I didn’t plan to drag.
Not loading new pages but keeping the old UI even though I navigated to a different page.
actions not showing.
text render super slow
this might be a different bug but I couldn’t delete an option from a option set, editor thinks it’s null but the app still has the data so i need to filter it out…
All in all the performance is awful and therefore seems to bug out and break the editor.
Almost everything ‘fixes’ on refresh but it happens all the time.
This is just the bubble normal and business as usual.
People have been reporting these same issues for years now and nothing changes. A patch is released to temporarily resolve the issue and then it crops up again a few weeks later. The editor gets slower and more of a memory and cpu hog with every new feature.
I’m sure I’ll get a lot of flack for making this point but you only need to look back at the forum to see all the recurring threads about memory, instability and crashing.
I’ve stopped reporting bugs and just accepted bubble is what it is.
I found turning off hardware acceleration in chrome greatly helped with memory usage. Now it just crashes from CPU overload. Also trying to use less tabs since each tab multiplies the memory used - I’m now down to 2 tabs (how anyone can use only 1 and be productive I have no idea)
Bubble has been unstable for several days, but today the performance issues have reached a critical point.
Has there been any official response from the Bubble team regarding this?
… Builder.ai?
I probably got the same response you did - instructions to clear my browser cache and cookies and restart. I’ve also replied to them with this thread, so maybe they’ll start getting the picture that it’s not a one-off situation.
