[Product enhancement] Branding and style updates to the AI app generator

Hey Bubble community,

Rutvij here. I’m a PMM for the AI team. If you tuned into today’s AMA with Josh and Emmanuel, you heard this already. For those of you who couldn’t, we’re excited to share that we’ve made some updates to the AI app generator’s outputs — and we think it’s an upgrade.

The app generator now outputs more robust branding based on your prompts. You’ll see more nuance in color schemes, more variation in fonts, and more modern layouts. It should also be able to better interpret the vibe and aesthetic from your prompt.

We recommend including specific style guidance in your prompt to see the best results. For example:

  1. A house-swapping site for people that are interested in mystical and otherworldly vacation experiences. The branding should have dark tones, use purple and indigo, and feel ethereal.

  2. A meditation app that helps people in busy cities center themselves and feel connected to nature. The app should feel soothing to use, use tones of green, and have imagery of nature like waterfalls and trees.

We’ve also integrated style variables into AI generated apps. This means you can make universal changes to your app from the style variables tab just like you’re used to on other Bubble apps.

Here are a few examples of generations after we shipped the updates. Try them out for yourself here!

The team is excited about this update, and there’s lots more to come. Thanks as always for building on Bubble,

— Rutvij

Ha! The screenshots aren’t from the example prompts. But I can see how that could get confusing. In any case, glad you were able to try it (and that it gave you the result you wanted)

It did indeed :blush::folded_hands:

@rutvij.bhise I would strongly suggest you guys think about how to implement common design patterns like the “selector,” which is currently missing from 100% of Bubble AI-generated apps. Example:
