Hello, my friend and I have a plan to set up a Bubble agency where we create apps for others but am wondering about set up infrastructure first of all.
Which Bubble plan we would need to purchase to make this happen. Have looked at the Bubble pricing website (Pricing | Bubble) and it’s not clear how many apps for clients we can continue hosting and having live - for example does the TEAM plan allow for unlimited hosting of live apps for diff clients?
2 . What about the situation in which a client wants to change bubble agencies or download the app code? I’m guessing the former is possible but the latter is not?
Re domain for the web app - if the client owns the domain name “www.happydog.com”, is it possible to connect the app to eg. “www.happydog.com/app”? Otherwise the client would need to buy a whole new, separate domain and pay monthly payments to keep it live?
Hope I can help a bit. I have been an agency for a little while now. I am sure each agency works differently. So there are probably different opinions on this topic.
The most beneficial way for you as an agency would be to create an app on the agency plan and the transfer it to them when it’s done so Bubble counts it toward apps that you have built. Then you would just stay as a collaborator until they decide that they don’t want you on their and can remove you at any time. Not all clients work that way though.
Yep, agreed with @J805. I pretty much operate the same way:
Create the app for the client on the agency plan (because this is also how Bubble Tiers). I do have times where the client already is on a plan, and they just add me to their existing plan, but that is because I’m helping them with an existing app. If it’s a new build, agency plan (cheaper for the client too because it’s a benefit of me having an Agency Account).
They can just remove you as a collaborating agency – they cannot export app code (not possible in Bubble)
