Question re: temporarily adding more WU's (getting charged twice)

I was temporarily in need of addition WU for 1 month while performing a bulk data upload. I purchased the package for +200k WU’s, used the workflow I needed, then downgraded back to my original plan so that I wasn’t charged for additional WU’s I don’t need this month. Turns out Bubble charged me $29 for the +200k package then slapped me with ~$50 in overages (based on the 175k you get with the Starter plan). I’m confident I didn’t use more than 375k WU for the month so it wasn’t an overage of the add-on package.

How am I supposed to temporarily add WU’s if I’m in need of them for one-time events like bulk data uploads without getting charged $0.30 per 1k in overages?

WU months are based on calendar months, but plan subscriptions on another schedule, or some other weird logic. Best contact support to find out? Bubble Support Center

I’ve tried but they’re slow as molasses. It’s extremely confusing between prorating when upgrading then whatever the heck happens when you downgrade.
