Hi @jasonturo
Can you share a screenshot of both original input setting and picker setting?
Thanks!
The plugin is in a group within a RG, with an ID attribute also referencing the RG.
INPUT ELEMENT:
PLUGIN:
I don’t see your initial value in the Input. I will also do test on my side in a RG to see if there’s an issue related on loading initial content
The autobinding hides the initial input field, however, the expression was included when I uncheck autobinding:

I have a similar problem.
I’m using Emoji OA and whenever I try to comment, the first comment is always blank. This happens when I load the page the first time.
I then found out that it copies what’s in the ‘Initial Content’ box of the input form (I use multiline), e.g. if I put ‘test’ in the ‘Initial Content’ box, then the first time I comment, ‘test’ will show up.
Here’s an interesting part: when I refresh the page and comment, the first comment is the previous comment, e.g. if I commented ‘123’ and then refresh the page, then the next comment I submit will still be ‘123’.
My page also uses EmojiConverter. I looked in the debugger and got the following error:
Element EmojiConverter A
The plugin Emoji One Area Picker / element EmojiConverter threw the following error: TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘replace’)

What may have caused this problem? Please help.
Thank you.
Hi Jici,
What a wonderful news! First of all thank you for your work. I tried almost all solutions I found to add emoji pickers to my app…
At first I tried your plugin, but I have special conditions for the input, and it seems that I can’t apply them when using the plugin. Is this will be solved in the new version? When do you think this version will be available
?
Hi @prin
Sorry for the delay.
I’m not sure for the initial value. I will do some test. But I’m working on a complete new version of the plugin that will not replace the original input. So It should be better with the new version.
For the emojiconverter, from what I see in your error, is that there was no vlaue provided to the emojiconverter to be converted. Please check to be sure that the emojiconverter receive data.
@fbnc.vntrs Yes the new version will work differently and not replace the original input. So your original settings of the input should continue to work.
Hi @Jici
I have a problem with the multiline input, it comes out of my main group, normally when I write text the group goes down and the height gets bigger

Hi! Are you using the new responsive engine?
LOOKING FOR TESTER FOR THE NEW VERSION
Please send me a PM. Add to the message which kind of input your will use (Standalone, Bubble input, multiline input, Rich text editor plugins…)
Thanks!
Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in, thank you for the plugin, but the live synching on key up doesn’t happen when page is loaded initially. The input needs to refocus (click in, type, click out, click in again) to start synching. Ver 1.3.0 - Using this on a new responsive engine.
Hi @Jici, i use the old engine
Hey Jici! Is there a timeline for the new release? Tried adding the current version and it is disabling and changing the look of my message input. Look forward to hearing any updates!
Congrats on the plugin. I really enjoyed watching the demo and it’s exactly what I need. Too bad I couldn’t get this to work in my app. Would it be possible to create an explanatory video with all the details of use?
Hi!
I will probably not have time to make a video until two weeks because I’m leaving for vacation.
But you can share screenshot of what you did and I can probably help you.
Also, take time to go in editor to see how I’ve set my demo
Is there a description of how to use this convoluted plugin? I literally just want to add an emoji to the end of a sentence.
@jessefarquhar48 Can you explain more your case? You want to add an emoji at the end of sentence into an input field? into a text element? Or you want your user to be able to add emoji to when they type something?
text element.
No i don’t need a user to do anything
And is this always the same emoji or if not, how will you choose which emoji?
According to your case, a plugin shouldn’t be needed for this kind of thing. you can just add the emoji manually into the text element.
Use this page for example: Full Emoji List, v15.0 to find the one your want and copy it from “Browser” column
