Rendering in repeating group

How does Bubble render invisible elements in a repeating group?
More precisely, when?

I’m considering adding the edit form for each row into the table row, and show/hide it by the “edit-button”. It will create a very nice interface. The edit form is in a reusable element.

But what are the consequences? Will it slow the repeating group?

See that the new “experimental” rendering does some optimizations, but does not really answer this question.
