I have a lot of experience with dedicated plans with many branches. A few things:

If there is a failed deployment, it’s most likely a bug with Bubble that they need to fix.

Besides that, how experienced are your developers? That makes a huge difference. So even having a better understanding of branches and how they work might not help if the developers don’t know what they are doing or don’t know how to check if something they touch will impact other areas of the app.
