Seeking Expert to Resolve Google Geocode API and Stripe API Version Issues on Bubble.io

Hello Bubble Community,

I am looking for an experienced Bubble.io developer to help resolve two issues:

  1. Google Geocode API Error:
  • Issue: “You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project.”
  • Details: The API is currently blocked due to billing not being enabled. Assistance is needed to properly configure the Google Cloud Project to resolve this issue.
  1. Stripe API Version Error:
  • Issue: “Search is not supported on API version 2020-03-02.”
  • Details: The Stripe plugin needs to be updated to use API version 2020-08-27 or later to support the required features.

If you have experience with these specific issues, please reach out with your portfolio, availability, and rates. I would appreciate your help in getting these plugins updated and functioning correctly.

Thank you,

Which plugin are you using? You can update it in the plugins tab.

Then, you can check your Stripe API version at Stripe Login | Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to ensure it’s right.

Your app has a Google Cloud account at https://console.cloud.google.com/. If you don’t know about it, then ask the agency/freelancer that built the app for you. If you do own the Google account, then add a payment card to the account and enable billing. This issue affects your maps / location search boxes / geographic address fields if you have them. If you don’t use them, you can ignore.

What happens if the freelancer was using his own account and closed it?

You can replace API keys with your Google cloud console account keys, make sure to enable the services which are required.

As above, create a new Google Cloud account, and everything else you need will be here: Working with location data | Bubble Docs

What would you charge me if you helped me make the updates so I can learn what to do?

I can create the accounts needed, prior, and obtain any other details you know we would need to make this productive for the both of us.

Hey, we only work on existing apps as part of our ongoing development subscription which you can find details of here: Not Quite Unicorns | Unlimited web development

With that said, this is a really simple change and you should have no problem doing it yourself. If you get a freelancer to do it for you, anything more than $120 would be unusually high. It’s a 15 minute job (an hour including the admin…)

The Google Cloud issue will be solved without any issue using this manual article: Working with location data | Bubble Docs

The Stripe issue depends on how your app connects to Stripe (plugin or API Connector), but if you’re using a plugin as I suspect then first update that and see if it fixes it, and if not then circle back here with details of the plugin you’re using.

Thanks for nudging me along!!! Much appreciated. I was able to update my google info and things work now. However, I no longer see a ‘pin’ indicating the location in question. Isn’t there suppose to be a pin?

Per the stripe issue I get:

Stripe error: Search is not supported on api version 2020-03-02. Update your API version, or set the API Version of this request to 2020-08-27 or greater.

I did the plugin upgrade and that’s the msg above I get.

Don’t know the specifics of your integration but if you have other Google Maps /location plugins, make sure you update the credentials there.

What plug-in is it? Send a link to the plug-in page

What means update credential there?

The plug-in would have some API key fields in the settings - the plug-in docs will tell you more about this

Hey @Dog-Tag ,
Dropped you a message, awaiting your response.
