Seemless RG loading on scroll

Hi folks,

Does anyone know how to get repeating groups to show only the first x records, and then load further records seamlessly as the user scrolls?

I have my chats set up to load the most recent messages first at the bottom of the page, the same way WhatsApp and other messaging apps do. To do this, I leveraged Bubble’s own ‘RepeatingGroup to Chat’ plugin in order to reverse the RG.

I had originally thought that unchecking ‘Show all items immediately’ on the RG would accomplish what I wanted. However, when I reported slow and jerky behaviour to Bubble Support, I was told to check this box. What I’ve noticed is that the moment there are more than about 20 messages in a chat, it takes a long time to load, and can imagine that it’d take an eternity to load a chat with thousands of messages in it!

Hi @Jici, thanks for replying. It’s a very complex page, so I’m unsure how I’d do that. Is there a way to privately share read only access to the editor of only one page of an app’s test version?
