I thought of it but then SendGrid seemed more cost effective overall.

Not that I’m aware, but I’ve been considering using SES as well, mostly because it’s very inexpensive. Of course, it lacks many of the nifty reporting and logging features of Sendgrid and the like, but for sending mass emails on a tight budget, it seems like an option.

Did you wind up using SES?
