Sendgrid Parameters and Where to Find Sendgrid API Action

Hey folks… I’m trying to learn about using Sendgrid within Bubble. I’ve done the setup under Settings, and the Send Email action is working okay with the “Use a Sendgrid Template” option unchecked.

I have two questions:

  1. Using a Template.
    I have created a Sendgrid template which has <%body%> in it, but none of the content I send from Bubble appears in my emails when sent with “Use a Sendgrid Template” checked, or for system emails such as password reset. What else do I need to do?

  2. Sendgrid API Action
    Lots of the posts on the forum show this Sendgrid API action, with lots of VAR options, but I can’t find it anywhere.
    Where does this come from?
    Is it part of the Bubble implementation?
    Or is it an old CoBubble/CoPilot plugin?

This all seems rather poorly documented for such an important feature of Bubble… :slightly_frowning_face:

Okay, I’ve answered my first question. If you create a Legacy Template in Sendgrid, it all works just fine!

Thoughts on question 2 much appreciated…
