I’ve started to adopt Shadcn UI components to Bubble, so we’d be able to make nice-looking UI. Here is the plugin with them -
Please check it out, I’ve migrated only some component for the beginning, but if you will find this useful and your feedback will be positive I’d like to continue migration. Happy to hear your opinions, thank you
As much as I love shadcn components – I don’t see this being very useful inside of the Bubble environment – especially for the tag you’re suggesting. Unless you can prove me otherwise.
Shadcn components are meant to be used as dynamic styled components with particular variants and use-cases. I cannot see Bubble adapting to allow such use-cases.
Particularly, the tailwind CSS aspect.
The one big thing for me is the fact that you won’t be able to use the components like you should be able to (being able to use them together inside each other simultaneously and dynamically). If you can figure that one out, I’m all ears haha.
Bubble still didn’t provide a possibility to create container-like plugins. When this would be possible — we’d be able to use Shadcn components in a way you described. Though, I’d like to point that now all Shadcn components need such compossibility, but yes, obviously it’s their big advantage that we most likely won’t be able to use right now.
