Sidebar menu plugin

  • I set up a side bar menu using an option set
  • I set up the workflows for retrieving each options and taking the appropriate actions (navigate to page)
  • when I do a preview of the page, open the menu and clink on the one of the options, that option will behave properly
  • if I the try another of the options on the menu , it might work and it might not
  • one of the options to go to an external page, it will only work the first time and only if it is the first one selected

I am new to bubble and it’s been 40 years since I wrote a line of code . I am at a loss to understand the inconsistency of the behaviour.

Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

What is the workflow you created when a menu item is clicked? Can you share a screenshot here?

They’re all set the same way except for the external URL

This is the menu button content:

and these are the workflows:

I added a second sidebar menu (I am using the sidebar menu plugin in both cases) and I am getting the same behaviour:

  • When I preview the page I am on l get one shot at a menu selection. After I use one of them, none of the others will work.
  • A page refresh does not reset - I have to close the preview tab, and open an new preview tab to be able to select a different menu option

Obviously, I am missing something…

Ok this would be a total rookie mistake - I forgot to copy the menu with workflows to each of the referenced pages.  Forget the rest of the comments I added. Good news is I won’t make that mistake again!
