Signature App saving in workflow struggle

Hello I am using the popular signature app.

I have disabled this save button as I want to save the signature at the end when the person submits the entire form.

  1. I cannot get it to save in the DB. If I enable the save button check box and click save in the signing pad it will then work when the user clicks submit. But I cannot find a way to save it during the submit workflow.

  2. Is there a way to check its not empty on submit?

What happens when you check the box?!

There’s a ‘Save signature pad’ action but I found that it didn’t work (took a few seconds to run so the URL it generates for the next workflow step wasn’t ready in time). I can’t remember off the top of my head but I think there’s a ‘Signature Pad is saved’ event that you can use.
