Small Tweak: Collapse when hidden ✅ by default

Hey all,

Not much more to add than the title itself: Collapse when hidden will now be checked by default.

It’s a small thing but I know a lot of users have been asking about this!

You saved me 2-5 clicks per day. Maybe more.
It all adds up!

I bet you that if you ran a survey of 1000 expert Bubblers, “If you can have only one, which one would you prefer?” a)collapse when hidden by default; b)AI builder; c)Native Mobile? It would be somewhere between 99%-100% choice A.

We’ve ran surveys like that in the past. Not exactly on this feature but others. Native Mobile always wins by a landslide.
But wait until we iterate with Bubble Assist and get it into the editor and all the other good stuff. I think people are going to love it

The indomitable Kelly Claus! She has been “encouraging” Bubble to sort out a raft of things on X. (Bubble probably view it as harassment😂)

Between Kelly and Brenton their campaigning is paying off.

They really are the (not so) silent heroes of pushing small Bubble improvements :joy: :raised_hands:

@fede.bubble please, we need some kind of tab to track all custom states in the page, this is a MUST

Thanks, it is definitely the default preference. Very rarely do we need it to not do that. So it makes sense.

Hey @fede.bubble the question is: is there a risk of having this default behavior applied to elements used before this update, since in specific cases we need this behavior so that the element remains occupying the space even if invisible?

Well, I’m not complaining about the update, in fact, like most people here, it will save me a lot of daily clicks, I just would like to know if I should worry about these specific cases. I’m sure I’ve already used some logic like this although now I don’t remember all the cases.
