Hi all,
i’m working on a project, and at the moment i’m playing with the editor in order to verify if every functionality i have in mind is doable in Bubble.
At the moment i’m working on a page that is supposed to work with google maps. So, I created my api keys and inserted them in the settings oof my app.
The issue now is that, once i insert the api keys, a message appears telling that they will be working only after the first deploy.
What i don’t understand is how can iIto test that functionality before upgrading? Is there a way to do it? Honestly i’ve so much work to do and test, and i hope there’s a way to build my app and start paying only after the first deploy.

You can always use the dev preview to test it out
sorry, maybe i wans’t clear.
of course i can use dev preview, but seems maps api don’t work in dev preview til i deploy to live (so need to upgrade). that sounds weird to me, as i wouldn’t spend money on something i have never tested or don’t know if it works.
Tell me please if it is clearer now and if you (all) got a solution to this
well that’s sure wired, and are you using a plugin ?
simple maps api must work. have you check console logs, or share the message screenshot
Ok yes, let me show you.
The goal is a page similat to this from Airbnb. The map shows a list of pins, once you click on one, a box below shows up, showing content of that specific pin. i know how to make it work with dynamic fields and realted workflow, so no problem about that.
The thing is that i want to - at least - test it before paying. Once i try to test it in dev preview, nothing shows up, not the pins and not the map itself - as picture below
If i go to the api setting, i see this message.
so this means that i can’t test any map functionality before deploying to live - which means paying?

Oh you you were talking about native editor, not web editor, now i understand
And yes the native debugger is petty useless i also ran in issues where i just didn’t get the workflow shown in debugger itself, very annoying
