I’ve just released a massive update to QuickScan: QR & Barcode (Pro). It is now a complete suite for all your scanning and generation needs.

:rocket: WHAT’S NEW IN V2.0?

1. Live Camera Scanner :camera_with_flash: You asked for it! You can now drop a Scanner element on your page to read QR Codes and Barcodes in real-time.

  • Works on Mobile & Desktop.

  • Supports front and back cameras.

  • Reads almost all 1D and 2D formats (QR, UPC, EAN, Code128…).

  • Super fast event-driven workflows (Code Detected event).

2. Gradient QR Codes :artist_palette: Make your QR codes pop! I’ve updated the generator to support Linear and Radial Gradients. Perfect for matching your brand’s identity.

3. Barcode to PNG Export :framed_picture: SVGs are great for display, but terrible for Emails and PDF generation. The new update allows you to export/save Barcodes as high-quality PNGs with a white background, ensuring they are readable by physical scanners even when printed.

  • Hardware Control: Let your users trigger the device’s Flashlight/Torch and flip between Front/Rear cameras dynamically via Workflows!

  • Haptics & Sound: We built a zero-latency audio synthesizer and connected the device’s vibration motor. Scans now provide instant physical and auditory feedback!

  • Continuous “Warehouse” Mode: Scan 50 boxes in a row without the camera closing. We added a 1.5s anti-spam cooldown and a list_of_scans state so you can batch-process inventory effortlessly!

:input_latin_letters: Barcode Enterprise Extension

  • Building for supermarkets or pharmacies? Select strict industry formats from a dropdown: EAN-13, UPC, ITF-14, MSI, Pharmacode, and CODE128.

  • Includes built-in validation! If a user types letters into a strict numeric EAN-13 field, the plugin catches it safely instead of breaking your page.

:artist_palette: QR Generator Pro

  • SVG Export: You can now generate and download SVG vectors directly from workflows. Perfect for printing massive billboards or crisp product packaging. (WebP is also supported for lightning-fast UI!).

  • Advanced Styling: Add radial/linear gradients, embed beautifully masked center logos, and control the exact padding/margins for “Scan Me” print layouts.
