Hi guys, since two weeks I experience a very strange behaviour. When I’m connected to my Wifi at home or at the office my bubble app (both frontend and editor) becomes very slow after 5-10 Minutes. Then I switch to my iPhone as a hotspot and everything is fast again. Then I switch back to Wifi and its very slow again. Of course my Wifi both at home and at the office is very fast. More then 100mbits in download and 50 in upload. I also delted cookies and cleared cache. But that doesnt help. So in conclusion my connection to bubble is very slow, but only when connected to my home or office wifi. Is there some issue with cloudflare or so? Maybe that my ip-address is being throttled or so?
the best to do is to make a bug report to bubble team.
What I know is that when a bubble app /an editor is opened, the browser stores a lot of temp data and clearing cache solving this, uncheck backend issues checker also speed up things.
But your case is very strange I don t understand how network can slow down your navigation/ work, maybe a firewall setup on it?
I saw something like this recently.
What it was was GitHub blocking downloads of some JavaScript libraries (used in a plugin) from some networks but not others. And this JavaScript library blocked loading of the rest of the bubble app.
You could confirm by looking in the browser console network tab.
Good luck
I have experienced exactly the same recently. What worked for me was changing my DNS server.
how did you do that?
Echo the above - have seen this with our app too. Update to DNS or run through a VPN to temporarily solve.
Depends on your browser and operating system.
The DNS can be set on three levels: browser > OS > router
So first I’d check if your browser uses “secure DNS”. In that case you can change your DNS server in your browser settings.
If not, you’d have to do it on OS level which is different for Mac/Windows/Linux.
Or alternatively (as mentioned above), you could also simply use a VPN which is easier.
Thanks. VPN works for me. Not a problem fix, but a workaround I can live with.
