Viewing a selected item from a repeating group in a popup and cycling through the rest

I have a popup with a repeating group that has a list of items.
Clicking on an item opens another popup where all the information about the item is viewed in a repeating group.

I am able to cycle through all the list items in a repeating group but no matter which item I select on the first popup, it only shows the first in the list

I think using Custom State may solve the issue.

When button is clicked to open another pop up set a state that stores the value of the current cell’s item from the repeating group temporarily.

In the the newly opened popup show the value from the state.
