Is it possible/advisable to use Bubble as a website builder? (akin to Wix, Weebly, Webflow, etc).
If so can anyone suggest examples?
Definitely, if you can do more (in terms of backend), you can do less. Here is a site built on Bubble, for instance, http://workwithtribe.co/
I’d say: if you’re totally happy with a template from Wix or Squarespace or Weebly, that probably is a good option, but if you want to control how your site looks to the pixel, and not be constrained by a template, Bubble is definitely an option. And who knows, pretty quickly you might want to add some functionality to your site, and the the workflow system will be handy
