We’re really sorry to bring bad news but the Safari browser does not allow users to record long audio and save them. Unfortunately, we are unable to fix this issue as it is not related to our plugin but to Safari. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, no. Since the bug is in the Safari browser, we can’t know the exact reason.
I’m afraid, we’ve not tested it with a similar use case as yours and we did not receive any alike complaints for a native app. Theoretically, it should work as our plugin works with our Air Native wrapper and it is not using the Safari browser to run.
As a note, in case you want to wrap your app, please take into consideration that we do not guarantee that our plugins will work with third-party app wrappers.

So if I was to use a wrapper you only recommend Air Native wrapper, correct? Any other, you don’t guarantee the functionality of the plugin
Guys one more question! My recording are being caped at 59:59 minutes even if the recording is past the hour, is this something to do with the plug in or with Bubble itself?

Recently some users started to complain that their recordings are “broken” I don’t know if that’s the correct term, I’m sorry. After an investigation, I discovered that they are Android 12 users and with the same device (Samsung Galaxy A22). We use the Air Native service to upload the app on Google Play…
I checked that there was an update in the plugin and even updating the problem remains. Can you help me?

Could you please check the “max file size” field in the plugin element on your end and set a higher size to be able to record longer audio? This should help.
As a note, you can limit the audio file recording by the maximum file size but there is no way to set the time limitation for the recorded audio file using the plugin.

First of all, for us to better understand what is the exact issue you have faced, can you please describe it in more detail?
Also, please make sure your users do not use any blockers on these devices that can affect the recording process. We didn’t receive any complaints from the users regarding this plugin behavior, so I suppose it is something related to the mobile device.
As for the rebuild, our team is currently working on your order. Please check if the issue still persists after the rebuild and let us know the result.

I think users are not using blockers because everyone said that this only happens in the app.

We’ve checked the plugin with iPhone 14 on different browsers, but there is no issue on our side. It may be related to internet speed and file size as it only appears on one device. Considering these points, could you please check it once again on your end and let us know the result?
In case the issue still persists, please share more details. Like, what exactly you mean by “corrupted audio files”, what is the recording time, etc.
Hey, by corrupted audio I mean that I can’t listen to it, there’s a URL but it doesn’t play anything, the recording time wasn’t long, a few seconds only. Again, this was with an iPhone 14
Unfortunately, the issue you have reported is not reproducing on our side. If you have a chance to test it on another iPhone 14, it would be great because I’m afraid it’s related to a specific device.
