Can high-quality apps be created at the current stage of the Beta?

Hello everyone!

I have a bit of experience in creating web apps in bubble, many of them also having a mobile view which I created as a single page within the web app. However, I never deployed these to the app store or google play store via a wrapper.

I recently started creating an app using the native mobile creator, with the intention to deploy to the appstores. The goal is to create an extensive personal finance / expenses and networth tracker, consisting of an app in the stores as well as a webapp for desktop.

However, I quickly ran into some problems. For example, I set up privacy rules, so every user only sees the accounts he created. The problem is, when I swith users, the bank accounts seem to be saved locally somewhere, as it often shows the accounts of the previous logged in user.

Additionally to that, it seems (according to posts in this forum) that there are still many problems with Social Auth, Resetting password, etc.

So my question to more experienced bubble-creators: With the current stage of the native mobile app builder, is it possible to create high quality apps, or am I better of doing it the old way, with designing a mobile view in the web app and the wrapping it with natively or similar?

Thanks a lot for your insights.

Old way. I am an experienced mobile app creator as well. Still wrapping and will be the next year or so looking at the current pace.

I did the templates you find on the Natively app dashboard as well - need to update them a bit though.

Working on NordBuilder.com atm. Can only do 40% or less with the mobile editor compared to wrapping. Some things will probably takes years.

Not to mention the inability to white label or have multiple native apps running on a single bubble app.

Or the extra maintenance required, having a mobile + native setup.

Or that web apps connected to RevenueCat / Stripe saves me 8-10% of Apple and Google’s 15% cut on the apps. That is a lot of money when they hit 100K / year. Strong selling point for clients.

Look at the bubble “app of the month award things” - that’s a good indicator of the complexity level you can achieve (plus a bit more with experience).

Just not as much space for intelligent hacking, and few well build plugins and native features.

It is being build for low requirement / generic apps (of ok quality). If that’s what you are building, then you can probably build fast and effectively as the editor improves. Advanced, no.

For your project, wrapping is the clear choice - even with a much more extensive editor that we have to day.

Oh, and I hear “rumors” of new wrappers coming to bubble

What does this mean?

It really depends on the functions you need, but it’s quite limited at the moment and the bugs are plentiful
