Create a user for myself

Hello everyone,

I’ve tried finding information about this, came close to an answer, but not quite. I’m beginning my own app using Bubble, loving it so far but I’m confused about this: I’m trying to manually create an account for myself, I can do that, but I don’t understand how to login since I cannot add a password for myself when creating the user.

How can I overcome this? I do not need a signup in my app, nor want one. All users will be manually added. I know there’s an action for this, but how can I initially do this for myself? I don’t want to have to create a signup form just to signup then be able to add other users. Does this make sense?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you kindly,
Void.

Hey @Void, you can create a row in your database for yourself, then click “Run as” next to yourself

Hi Johnny,

I saw and did that before your reply (thank you for replying by the way); does that keep me logged in? Wouldn’t that mean that I’ll never have a password set (which means I can’t login normally)? Is there any way to add or modify one for myself? Excuse the questions, but I’m confused about this.

Thank you kindly for any help you provide,
Void.

Hey @Void,

Do you have a password reset flow in your app? You can reset your password there

It’s funny, you mentioned this as I was looking at that reset_pw page in the editor. I know what to do now thanks to you! I really appreciate you.

Kind Regards,
